Eric Cunningham from Shanghai was the first Padi Open Water Diver Student at Camiguin Volcan Beach Eco Retreat & Dive Resort.
Eric and his friend David had a great time on Camiguin by taking the most out of it. Beside Diving and Snorkelling they explored the highlights of Camiguin, like Katibawasan Falls, Cunken Cementry & White Island and enjoyed the relaxing hot water in Ardent Hot Springs. Davids favorite was our great Bamboo Sundeck for his daily Tai Chi Exercises. As Special Night entertainment we presented the “Camiguin Volcan Beach Batman Show” with fruitbats feeding on the late harvest of our sugar-sweet Lanzones fruits in front of the Reception from the Resort.
Both started with diving in the same afternoon they arrive on the Island. And Eric decided straight after his introductory dive that he want to do the PADI Open Water Diver course with us.
But as a contrast there was first the “Island-Crossing” on their plan for the next day. An amazing hike which runs between the two majaestic volcanoes “Mt. Hibik-Hibok and “Old Vulcano”, through lush tropical jungle & coconut plantations. On the way you pass realy huge “Balite” trees who are reminiscent of an magic forest befor you come to a high plateau with a breathtaking panoramic view of the “Bohol Sea”.
And then for the next days the “Bohol Sea” was their environment, whether on the beautifull House Reef or on Beach-Dives around Camiguin. Also David, a certified diver already, was excited from the variety of the underwaterlife at the House Reef direct in front the Resort.
No question that Eric succesfully completed his PADI Open Water Diver course.
Congratulation from the whole Camiguin Volcan Beach Team.
See you for the Advanced course :-)
